It brings back m...I love your reflection Jennifer! It brings back memories of my kids crying in the grocery store. But I must say, even then, there were times that I did the same….ignore the kid! He wants his way and he already knows (by the age of 2) that ‘I can embarrass mom in front of people and she will give me what I want.’ If I knew that my child was not hungry or tired and was trying to get away with something, I wouldn’t give in. Child rearing is a process…one day at a time.<br /><br />The love for my child was greater than the fear of what other’s thought of me. <br /><br />I don’t remember saying ‘I’m sorry’ … to the folks around me. I should have. <br /><br />I have pretty much kept that motto all my adult life - and not just with my kids. Even though I am a people pleaser, I also know there are times that I must draw the line. There are many times that I would (and will) let others’ talk bad about me at the cost of a friendship. It’s because that friendship means so much to me. As well, I will let others talk bad about me when I share my faith with them. It’s because Jesus means so much to me. <br /><br />I’m not trying to give you a hard time but just a different perspective. Thank you for your insights.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
