Meditation is an ideal way to pray. Using God's word (Lectio Divina) allows me to hear, listen and reflect on what the Lord wants to say to me - to one of his disciples - just like He did two thousand years ago.
The best time to reflect is at the beginning of the day and for at least 15 to 30 minutes.
Prior to going to sleep, read the Mass readings for the next day and then, in the morning, reflect on the Meditation offered on this website.
I hope these daily meditations allow you to know, love and imitate the Lord in a more meaningful way.
God bless you!

Mt 18:12-14 The Lost Ones

Mt 18:12-14  The Lost Ones
Jesus said to his disciples:  “What is your opinion?  If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray?”
During Christ’s time on earth, it was typical for one sheep out of ninety-nine to go astray.  Today, in our very confusing and absurd times, it’s typical to see ninety-nine sheep go astray and only one stay put.  I’m afraid this is what we call “progress”.  But with that said, it wouldn’t be so sad if it weren’t for the fact that relativists keep insisting that the Shepherd and his one sheep are the ones that are lost, not the ninety-nine.
I do not doubt God.  I do doubt relativists.  In fact, I doubt everything they say, for they are the epitome of hypocrisy and absurdity.
When the Church advocates an increase in morals and virtues in society, relativists call it insulting.  But when two relativists lie on the radio, they call it a “prank”.   And they keep calling it that; regardless of the fact that the victim of the “prank” committed suicide!   Read the articles!  Secular journalists; that is, reporters without a moral bone in their body, continue to use words such as “duped”, “prank” and “pretended” when explaining what two talk show hosts did to get (of course) high ratings!
It all started a few days ago after two Australian DJs “duped” an unsuspecting nurse into revealing the medical condition of Duchess Kate, who was being treated at London’s King Edward VII’s Hospital for an extreme form of morning sickness.  The DJ’s played a “prank” on the nurse by “pretending” to be Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.  What action was taken against the DJ’s?  They were suspended.
The young woman who killed herself appears to have been of Indian descent.  The talk show hosts are very much Caucasians.
Now when a young homosexual college student at Rutgers University committed suicide after finding out his roommate had secretly videotaped him kissing a man, all hell broke loose!  There were marches on campus against homophobia, marches against racism and marches against discrimination!  What action was taken against the culprit?  He was arrested and put on trial.
Now, the young man who did the prank was of Indian decent, while the young man who killed himself was Caucasian.
Hmmm.  I find it interesting the disparity in how the pranksters (and the duped) were treated.
Relativists, like secularists, rely on Americans having short memories.  I don’t have a short memory.  Not only that, but I can put two and two together, at least better than any of these secular journalists.
Some reporters are actually claiming that the prank on the young nurse had nothing to do with her suicide!!! They claim there must have been some “underlying” issues before all this happened.
Forgive me for saying this, but only a relativist would say something that stupid.  I have to say it again:  they are the epitome of hypocrisy and absurdity.  They really are the best at claiming to be victims while at the same time creating victims.  And they continue to get away with it!
Here’s an even more recent example for you.
It turns out that Penn State University students are organizing a multicultural march to counter concerns about racial intolerance after an “offensive” photo surfaced showing some members of the Chi Omega sorority wearing fake mustaches and sombreros, and holding a sign that read: “will mow lawn for weed +beer.”  The sorority apologized immediately, and rightly so.  But if they had been “street smart”, then they could have gotten away with it, just like relativists often do, by claiming that their picture was a form of art.
Yes, art!  That’s the key word.  That’s the word that relativists use to get away with insulting and profaning Christian figures and the Catholic Church.  “Piss Jesus” is art.  “Feet First” is art.  But girls with sombreros and a sign is not art.
Now everyone today wants the label of victim.  Everyone.  But not everyone does it as well as relativists do.  They really are good.
Some secularists actually believe they are rational.  Some actually believe they can change my opinion of them.
If they think so, they are truly the lost ones.
